Hockey Tiruvallur Hosts Summer Hockey Training Camp with Padmashri V Baskaran at Porur SRMC

As summer approaches, parents are looking for engaging and constructive activities to keep their children occupied. For young athletes and aspiring hockey players in Tiruvallur & Chennai, Hockey Tiruvallur along with Sri NPV Ramasamy Udayar Hockey Centre, Porur, Chennai is hosting a training camp with none other than Padmashri V Baskaran at the helm.


This is a golden opportunity for students of all ages and skill levels to hone their hockey skills, learn from experienced coaches, and train on a world-class FIH standard turf.

"Hockey is not just a sport, it's a way of life. I encourage parents to send their children to our training camp and help them develop not only their physical skills but also their mental fortitude, teamwork, and discipline," says Olympian Baskaran the Gold Medal Winner of the Moscow Olympics 1980.

Who can participate in the training camp?

The training camp is open to all age groups, both girls and boys, and caters to beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners.


Who will be coaching the students?

The coaches leading the training camp are qualified ex-state, national, and international players with extensive experience in the game.


What if a student does not have a hockey stick?

Kids without a hockey stick can still participate in the camp. We will provide hockey sticks to all participants during the first week.


What is the venue like?


The venue is a newly laid hockey turf that meets FIH standards and is one of the best in India. It has excellent car parking and toilet facilities.


What are the options for class schedules?

Participants can choose from daily or three-day-a-week classes, based on their preference.


What is the fee for the training camp?

The fee for the training camp is INR 2000. Additionally, students can apply for scholarships or fee waivers to make the training accessible to all, irrespective of their socio-economic status.


What are the dates for the training camp?

The training camp will start on May 1st and end on May 30th. Students can also choose to extend their training after the training camp ends.
