The much-awaited Sunday fixtures of the Tiruvallur Premier Hockey League are finally here, and hockey fans are in for a treat! The Shri NPV Ramasamy Udayar Hockey Centre in Porur, Chennai, will be buzzing with excitement as three exhilarating matches take place on April 23.
The first match of the day features Pattabiram Strikers versus Avadi Blues at 6:30 am. The Strikers have shown glimpses of brilliance in their previous game and will be looking to secure their second win of the season. "We've been working hard on our set plays and finishing, and we're confident of a good performance," says Strikers owner Sridharan. However, Avadi Blues won't go down without a fight, and owner Rajendran is confident that his team will bounce back from their previous loss.
At 2:30 pm, SM Nagar Hockey takes on Dhyand Veerans in what promises to be a closely contested match. The SM Nagar team is composed of a mix of experienced and young players, and they have shown resilience and skill in their previous game. "We're prepared for a tough match, but we have faith in our players and are confident of a win," says SM Nagar owner, Ashok Kumar. Dhyand Veerans, who won their last match convincingly, are hoping to carry their momentum forward and secure another win. "We're playing with confidence and determination, and we're aiming for nothing less than a victory," says Dhyand Veerans Owner Padmashri V Baskaran.
The final match of the day, at 4:00 pm, is between Moscow Magic and KGS Hockey. Both teams are coming off impressive wins and will be looking to build on their momentum. "Our team has been working hard on our defense and attack strategies, and we're ready to take on the challenge," says Moscow Magic owner, Dr Prakash Ayyadurai.
KGS Hockey, coached by Olympian Thirumalvalavan, is the team to beat this season and will be looking to maintain their winning streak. "We're not complacent, and we know that every match is important. We'll be playing to our strengths and hoping for a positive result," says Thirumalvalavan.
Fans can expect an exciting day of high-octane hockey action, with plenty of skill, passion, and teamwork on display.
